Multiple Flooring Finishes in Wiltshire Refurbishment
A captivating flooring project for a client in Wiltshire.
After discovering our flooring options at the NSBRC in Swindon, Mr. and Mrs. C from Wiltshire chose Pietra Wood & Stone to help renovate their new bungalow. They were looking for a local, reliable flooring company to provide a variety of flooring solutions, including for their outdoor terrace.
The project was all about turning the ground floor from a bunch of small rooms into a large, open-plan kitchen, dining area, playroom, and entrance hall. Mr. and Mrs. C wanted consistent flooring throughout these connected spaces, so after discussing their needs, they picked our Engineered Oak flooring, which works great with their underfloor heating system.
We suggested a cohesive design scheme that matched the Oak floor colour with the porcelain tile for the snug area, which needed a matching tile for the terrace too. The transition between the Oak flooring and the tiled snug area looked seamless, adding to the overall aesthetic.
For the hallway leading to the garden and the nearby WC, we recommended porcelain tile flooring instead of continuing the oak. This choice made sense for durability and easy maintenance in these high-traffic areas.
The before-and-after photos show an incredible transformation of the dated 1960s bungalow into a modern, functional family home. With careful planning and expert work, Pietra Wood & Stone didn’t just provide flooring solutions—they helped create a living space that perfectly fits Mr. and Mrs. C’s needs and style.
